Redolent Şirince

Driving the 7-km-road up the mountain already makes me feel exited. The narrow asphalt path full of steepy curves requires some driving skills and some self-control, ecpecially when there’s a bus coming up from the opposite direction and you have no choice but to stop on the edge of the precipice. As a result the way to Şirince, located about 100 km south of Izmir in the south-east of Turkey, seems quite long but if you’re a passenger and you’re free of the driving stress you have a while to contemplate the beatiful landscape with the brown hills resembling little piles of dark sand built by kids in a sandbox.
